A panel of Associate Deans will discuss the roles that PTK faculty take on in different colleges, current issues affecting PTK faculty, and how the colleges are approaching changes in PTK policy.

Colleen Worthington, a Clinical Professor Emerita and former Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Hearing & Speech Sciences, will moderate the panel.

Colleen Worthington

Colleen Worthington is a Clinical Professor Emerita and former Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Hearing & Speech Sciences. She was appointed as acting department chair from July 2019 through January 2020. She was a member of the 2012-2013 Provost’s Task Force on non-tenure track faculty issues and served as the faculty developer/coordinator for the campus-wide ADVANCE network for professional track faculty (PTK) from inception through 2017. Dr. Worthington has served on numerous college and university level committees/advisory groups focusing on PTK issues, most recently on the University Senate Executive Committee and as the inaugural ADVANCE Professor for PTK Faculty.

Hugh Bruck is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, and the Diversity Officer in the A. James Clark School of Engineering. He leads the Multiscale Measurements Laboratory.

Joe Sullivan

Joe Sullivan is a Professor of Plant Science & Landscape Architecture and Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. His research centers on the responses of plants to various forms of environmental stress - both natural and anthropogenic.
