Join the Department of African American Studies and The Nyumburu Cultural Center for a live recording of Perspectives on Justice with host Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. on ThursdayDecember 1, 2022 for a riveting conversation with author Emerald Garner, daughter of Eric Garner, and her co-author, veteran NBA basketball player Etan Thomas, as they discuss Garner’s new book, “Finding my Voice: On Grieving My Father, Eric Garner, and Pushing for Justice.”

This event will be held at the University of Maryland, Nyumburu Cultural Center in the Multipurpose Room from 4:00pm-5:30pm.

Pizza and refreshments will be served.
