Nomination Process

Nominee should submit an unbound package containing the following original, single-sided, unnumbered documents by April 15th:

  • Brief current curriculum vita, signed and dated.
  • One-page narrative indicating how nominee’s accomplishments exemplify the excellence of an endowed professorship.
  • Proposal (not to exceed two pages) describing project(s) to be undertaken or facilitated during Professorship year and that delineates prospective outcomes.
  • One-page budget narrative indicating how funds would be used. Budget not to exceed $80,000.
  • Proposed time-period. 

The nomination package should be submitted to: faculty@umd.edu 

The University may submit ONLY ONE nomination for this award. The University will prepare a letter of nomination for the selected candidate.
