Brian Kelly, an architect and faculty member specializing in campus design and academic architecture, will recount the history of University of Maryland through the evolution of its campus, over more than 150 years.
Brian has worked as a campus design consultant to Ayers Saint Gross, Architects + Planners in Baltimore including projects at Harvard, U. of NC Chapel Hill, U. Georgia, Arizona State, and Notre Dame among others. He is currently researching and writing a book on the campus planning work of Jens Frederick Larson, an American architect who was instrumental in the development of campus planning as a distinct design discipline.
