Faculty Success Updates - September 2024
A number of changes have been made since the Spring term in Faculty Success. These changes are summarized below. Full details on the changes are available on the Faculty Success website.
And remember: the system is always available for you to add new activities or update information, regardless of the official window to submit annual reporting. Keep your activity data up to date by adding and updating in Faculty Success as you go.
New Functionality
Supplemental documents uploaded with specific activities can optionally be available as downloadable attachments in full-service reports (e.g., Annual Activity Report, University CV). Uploaded documents with the 'Include in Reports' checkbox checked will be linked in the associated citation when included in a report.
New integrations have been implemented this summer:
- Biweekly update of identified author accepted manuscripts to DRUM (see DRUM integration)
- Opt-in access to ORCiD exports from Faculty Success (see Data Share)
- Biweekly imports of publications from Academic Analytics (see Publications from Academic Analytics)
Activity Screen Changes
Committee and Reader roles now available in the Roles list for Research Advising (read more).
Creative Scholarship - more than one role can now be identified for a particular activity, rather than creating multiple activity entries to document each role you played with that creative scholarship. For example, someone who was both producer and director for a documentary can now represent that in a single Creative Scholarship entry, which will also result in a single citation in reports, listing the set of roles.
