The Road to Tenure: Working with Graduate Students
Mentoring graduate students is an important part of an academic career and crucial for success in many disciplines. At this session, you will learn some best practices for establishing productive relationships with graduate students, with attention to how faculty members can support graduate students across differences of race, gender, age, culture, etc. Attendees will also learn about key resources offered by the Graduate School for professional job placement of graduate students, particularly beyond the limited academic opportunities currently available. The session will be moderated by Laura Rosenthal, Director for Faculty Leadership. Speakers include Blessing Enekew, Director of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and Yi Hao, Program Director, Career and Professional Development.
