Grants Management for PIs
This session for Principal Investigators will provide an overview of Sponsored Award financial and programmatic management. We will highlight award-related notifications, subcontract financial management, effort certification, and reports with real-time data, including the Budget to Actuals and the Dashboard for Principal Investigators and Grant Managers.
Presenters
Janice Oakley is an Associate Director in Sponsored Programs Accounting & Compliance at the University of Maryland College Park. She leads the teams responsible for the sponsored award set up in the financial system and account receivables for sponsored agreements awarded to the University of Maryland College Park campus. Before joining the University of Maryland College Park, she was a civilian auditor for the United States Navy, in Charleston, South Carolina, a Grant Accountant for the State Library of Michigan, in East Lansing Michigan, and a Departmental Business Administrator in the Industrial Engineering Department at North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mrs. Oakley has over 20 years’ experience in the financial administration of contracts and grants.
