Faculty Success (formerly Digital Measures)
Welcome to the start of the academic year! As a reminder to returning faculty members, and for our new faculty members, the University continues to implement its faculty activities reporting system -- Digital Measures, now called Faculty Success. Based on feedback from faculty, and in order to continue to enhance the system’s features and functionality, a number of updates to the reporting system were made over the summer. Read more about its new name and the summary screen improvement below.
And remember: the system is always available for you to add new activities or update information. Get a head start on your activity data today!
Faculty Success: New Name - Same Platform
Over the summer, Watermark renamed the Digital Measures platform to Faculty Success to more clearly articulate its core focus and how it supports us in recognizing achievement.
Beyond noting the information below, no action is needed from you.
WHAT’S CHANGING?
This new name is now showing in the platform, with updates to logos and text references. Both the old and new product names will appear together for a period of time to ease the transition.
We have updated our user guides, but how-tos and expectations noted there remain the same.
WHAT’S NOT CHANGING?
No workflows are changing, and you’ll continue to access this software just as you always have.
Thank you for your understanding and adjusting to this change with us! If you have questions, please contact the UMD Faculty Success team.
New this Fall: Enhanced Summary Activity Screen
Faculty Success has enhanced their summary activity screen to make it easier for users to manage their activities. The Activity summary screen has been redesigned to:
- present records in a table format
- allow the user to select which columns to include/exclude in their summary view
- remember their column preferences across sessions
- offer sorting, filtering and search
This 3-minute video gives an introduction to the changes.
