Join the University of Maryland's African American Digital Humanities (AADHUM), the Libraries Special Collections and University Archives, and the Nyumburu Cultural Center for our Across Generations event. This event brings together a nine-member alumni panel that represents four decades of experience. Speakers will share recollections of segregated spaces, their thoughts on the importance of engaging in Black joy, and more. This inaugural event kicks off the Black Experience project at the University of Maryland, part of the Reparative Oral Histories Initiative aimed at archiving and documenting Black life at UMD. The event will be held at Nyumburu Cultural Center and Online via Zoom.
