Joint Research Workshops

Joint Research Workshops are intended to help scholars at UMD and select international partner institutions identify complementary research strengths and explore potential collaborations. Workshops are not limited to any specific academic field; interdisciplinary projects are, in fact, especially encouraged. The format and duration of each workshop are flexible, as well as determined by the proposers. Workshops can be held either in College Park or at the partner institution, at the discretion of the applicants. Joint Research Workshops should involve both senior and junior scholars, especially graduate students and post-docs. The program provides $15,000 to support travel, events, and other costs of implementation of successful proposals.
