Seen and Heard: Engaging PTKs Through a Culture of Listening

Mar 7, 1:30 pm - 2:20 pm
Session Theme
Engagement

PTK faculty, although critical to the success of the curriculum of every UMD department and college, often feel separated from TTK faculty and department leaders due to time and other constraints.  This session offers ways to be sure your PTK faculty are seen and heard in formal and informal ways so that their important opinions and their needs are addressed, and that they are fully engaged with the rest of your team. Led by a communication coach, workplace culture expert and UMD PTK coordinator, this session covers active listening skills for daily interactions, programs that can be implemented in your department to build structure for PTK voices to be heard, and a forum for sharing ideas toward these goals.
