Perspectives and Lessons Learned from a First Time Textbook Author

The presentation will provide an overview of the process associated with the publication of Introduction to Spacecraft Thermal Design (Cambridge University Press). This will include an overview of first author experiences, the journey from class notes to rough draft, and eventual publication of the text. Key topics covered will include how to obtain a textbook deal, what to expect from the publisher once under contract, activities following draft submission and lessons learned from the overall experience.
