Dr. Dionne C. Clemons, Lecturer, teaches courses in strategic communication management. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Clemons’ coaches government, nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurs through the strategic communication process through her company, Clemons Consulting, LLC. She is also a textile artist who runs a handmade e-commerce clothing brand, AnnaMontee, LLC.
Dr. Clemons serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern Gateway Community Development Corporation and for the Smithsonian Women’s Committee and is a designer in residence within the Prince Georges Arts Humanities Council’s DPARK 3311 fashion incubator.
Having taught strategic communication for more than 15 years, Dr. Clemons is committed to the development of the whole person. She works to bring current knowledge from the public relations, marketing, digital, advertising, and journalism fields to give students a complete understanding of a constantly changing landscape.
Dr. Clemons is a certified Sherpa executive coach from Howard University’s School of Business and is a PDI 360 Korn Ferry certified facilitator. She has a PhD. in Mass Communication and Media Studies from Howard University, a Master of Public Administration from The American University, and a B.A. in Telecommunications from Morgan State University.
